Trap type, tank size and truck access vary a great deal across the city, and so does the right service interval. Here is what we typically find where.
The densest concentration of restaurants and bars in the city, centred on Cape Coral Parkway and the surrounding entertainment district. Mostly older storefront tenancies with indoor under-sink traps, frequently undersized for the kitchens now operating in them, and a pronounced season swing from roughly December through April.
Waterfront dining on the southwest side. Higher-end kitchens with heavy seafood and fryer volume and a very sharp seasonal curve. These are the operations where a fixed quarterly interval most often turns out to be wrong for four months of the year.
The main commercial spine across the north of the city. Newer plaza developments here tend to have outdoor in-ground interceptors rather than indoor traps, which means longer hose runs from the nearest position a vacuum truck can legally sit.
A long north-south commercial corridor running most of the length of the city, with a mix of standalone restaurants, plaza tenancies and quick-service kitchens. Wide variation in trap type and age, so takeover inspections are common here.
Mid-city commercial with a steady mix of family restaurants, pizzerias and cafes. Predominantly indoor traps in the 50 to 200 gallon range, typically well suited to a 45 to 60 day route interval.
East-west corridor connecting the southwest Cape to the Midpoint bridge, with newer retail and restaurant development. More outdoor interceptors than the older parts of the city, and generally better truck access.
Residential-adjacent retail plazas with a growing restaurant presence. Smaller kitchens on smaller traps, which means shorter intervals rather than longer ones despite the lower cover counts.
The newest commercial development in the city, running up toward the Charlotte County line. Modern builds with correctly specified interceptors, where the main scheduling question is verifying that the design assumptions match the kitchen actually operating.
Older southeast waterfront area with club, hotel and restaurant kitchens. Mature infrastructure and long service laterals make grease carry-through a real concern here if an interval slips.
Community retail serving the central residential districts. Cafes, bakeries and light-food kitchens predominate, which is one of the few profiles where the 90 day baseline is genuinely realistic.
